I use a wooden spoon so as not to scratch the inside of the unit and mix the descaler until completely dissolved. I then leave to sit for approximately 2 to 3 hours. After that time tip the water down the sink and wipe the bottom clean.

To clean the limescale without the descaler is very difficult without damaging the distiller.
